Day 5

Legs & Back , Ab Ripper X

This workout was demoralizing. My legs were still mush from earlier in the week doing plyometrics. And doing wall squats, and then the back...we did 100+ pull ups. I was using the aid of a chair for most of those. I am not that advanced yet. But once again I can see that there is a definite progress being made. The ab ripper x especially I was able to fully complete some segments that previously I have only able to do half or 3/4 of the sets. I am very excited for the Kenpo x tomorrow. I am going to be more mentally prepared than I was for Yoga X. Week 1 is almost over..dang

Day 4

Yoga X

Wow..going into this day I am nothing but sore and thinking of yoga I was feeling indifferent..
Excited because of my soreness and thinking that I am going to get some incredible stretching going on, and partly scared cause I've heard Tony Horton say Yoga X is not a day off..if anything it is more intense than the other workouts.
So going into the Yoga workout I felt prepared, then I put the tape in and was basically punched in the face! The yoga workout is 1 hour 20min. And that first 30-45 min was so hard for me with all my soreness. By the end I felt so great, there was some awfully weird positions that they had us do. But I can definitely see that there is a serious benefit to all the balance and strength it creates. I am excited to see next week how much more flexible and stable I will be.

Day 3

Well today I went to Seattle for the day and came back early evening via plane. I had a protein shake in the morning and then brought some soy nuts with me. Lunch was provided so I made sure to have a spinach salad. There was some bacon in the salad and probably a bit too much dressing but it was incredible. And was all I could do not to partake in the insanely good looking sandwiches. For dinner I had a chicken breast with a cup of rice and some diced carrots and asparagus cooked.

I got home and did my workout about 8pm. Shoulders and arms & then the crazy Ab ripper x..My abs were so sore from the first day still so doing the ab ripper x about made me cry it was so intense. Even though it is extremely early in the process...I feel as though progress is beginning to take place already.

Day 2

Plyometrics=pain

That is all that needs to be said. Day 2's workout was such a struggle. Lower body was seriously pushed to exhaustion. Sucked at the time but feels great to know how awesome the workout was.

Diet has been great so far. I really loved the protein shake this morning. Wish I could have a HUGE one instead of a magic bullet sized cup..

Day 1!!!!

WOOHOO! I made it through the first workout! And I am still excited for tomorrows! Dang though..I am whooped!

The first day's workout was a 58min chest & back workout and then a 16min AB RIPPER X workout! They are not kidding on the RIPPER and the X part. I was in some serious pain. There was some pretty good grunting goin' on. I had to keep saying to myself Tony Horton's saying,"do your best and forget the rest". I was extremely surprised that there was already on day 1 some veins showing themselves where I've never seen them before. This workout works every part of every muscle. And it is nonstop. Switching things up and making your body work way way hard!

Meal wise for the day I had 3 eggs, 1cup broccoli, 1cup strawberries, 8oz cottage cheese for breakfast. I don't know that I will do the eggs and broccoli mixture again..wasn't that great tasting. Then I had some soy nuts 1oz and part of a recovery drink for a snack. For lunch I had a cobb salad with some italian salad spritzer. Then another 1oz soy nuts for a snack. Post workout I had a full cup of recovery drink, Accelerade and a 1/2 scoop of protein w/skim milk. And then for dinner I had a big chicken breast that was bbq'd and 1 cup of brown rice and about 1cup of asparagus. Sheesh! Lots of food I know!

Only thing I would really say out of the day of nutrition plan..is the soy nuts are surprisingly good! I just wish I could eat more of them.

I just got done eating my meal for the night. Gotta get day 2's meals going here soon. Getting more and more excited for the body transformation! Rome wasn't built in a day but my body will be ripped in 90!

T-minus 6 days

Well I am 6 days away from the beginning..of a serious change. I have read the workout guide and the nutrition guide. I am completely overwhelmed by the thought of all the food planning. I don't think my wife is very happy about that either. So I think we are going to adjust it a bit..to fit a much more money friendly budget. Or this 90 days could mean a small loan! Jeepers!

On another note I did my pre P90x test today after work and I gotta admit I was pretty tired afterwards. With that being the case I am super super excited to do this! To imagine what my body will be like after 90 days. How much I will be able to accomplish physically is exciting. As I prepare mentally over the next couple days I will in fact indulge in some bad foods for what seems like the last time for a really long time..Here we go!
